Absolutely. The essence of OUTWPC products lies in their composition from reclaimed materials. Unlike wood, they don’t warp or splinter, thereby substantially cutting down on waste cycles associated with repairs and replacements. Furthermore, they eliminate the need for regular applications of ecologically damaging paints, sealants, and stains. The production of OUTDeck composite deck boards incorporates recycled wood materials that would otherwise be destined for landfills. Moreover, OUTWPC is capable of reintegrating scrap products into the production cycle. The manufacturing process of OUTWPC also includes water recycling.

Wood plastic composite products are a concoction of hardwood fibers, reclaimed polyethylene, adhesive agents, additives, and colorants. They offer a durable, resilient, and low-upkeep substitute to conventional timber products.

The primary rationale behind utilizing WPC composite decking is environmental preservation. With escalating environmental pressures on the industry, particularly in terms of recycling and sustainability, there’s an evident necessity to prolong the lifespan of our conventional building materials like wood. WPC’s efficient utilization of materials currently regarded as waste endorses this principle of sustainable development. Composed of almost 100% recycled materials and being entirely recyclable, WPC’s effect on our valuable forest resources is minimal, thereby reducing our carbon emissions. Additional environmental advantages of WPC include: Minimal waste production, and any waste generated is reused; WPC contains no toxins or volatile organic compounds; WPC is 100% recyclable and can be ground and reused post-service life; WPC is classified as non-hazardous waste and can be disposed of through standard methods.

Colors and Patterns >>

Similar to other uncapped wood plastic composite boards, WPC will experience some lightening as it weathers in the initial 2-3 months of being exposed outdoors before installation. This lightening effect is due to the washing away of dark wood oils, known as tannins, by rain and the impact of UV light. The change in color is particularly noticeable in lighter shades such as oak, silver birch, and stone, where there’s a stark contrast between the leached tannins and the board’s original hue. As the wood boards continue to weather, the nuances in texture become more pronounced by the way light reflects off the differing textures, rather than by an actual shift in color. For this reason, it is often recommended to install the light-colored grooved side facing upwards.

OUTWPC items are engineered to have minimal water absorption, around 1%. Compared to wood, our array of products exhibits a significantly reduced rate of absorption, which substantially diminishes the likelihood of wet rot developing over extended durations.

Absolutely! Standard woodworking tools can be used to cut, nail, drill, screw, and mill OUTWPC panels. Given that OUTWPC is denser than wood, we advise the use of carbide blades and drill bits.

Polyethylene is safe and utilized in products like milk containers, water bottles, and shopping bags. When fully combusted, it transforms into carbon dioxide and water vapor.
